Install Problems (something's changed)

Hi all

Just downloaded 3.6.0 and ran the installer. Uninstalled my previous version (didn't note which version I had. ).

Note I was a happy user until this evening. No clue as to what could have broken the install though

Now REAPER won't load the VST / VSTi / CLAP at all.

Attached are the three flavours of errors. I also reinstalled REAPER, and (just in case) manually installed the VC Redist.

I've disabled the "save state" setting but still to no avail.

Any ideas...?

Oh, I'm getting similar behaviour (different errors, naturally) with VSTHost.exe. It loads, but no GUI so no plugin.

If I could find v3.5 I'd give that a go but I can't seem to find it on the site.

What OS and service pack are you on? That looks like a COM error in the Shell API.

OS version should be fine. Can you try removing your TX settings file and see if that helps. It might be a broken COM URL stuck in your "places". (C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\TX16Wx\settings.ini).
Also, please send the contents of the file to me so I can check the paths stored there.

V2 (which does work but I have no idea how to use it LMAO) and V3 ini file links sent via PM.
