Listened to "I should have known better". Great Beatles vibe, but the subject matter is a grim. Maybe it's a Crickets parody!

Thanks for the listen. The whole album is a Beatles parody. It was a lot of fun to do. The video is pretty cool too.

wagtunes,
Now listening to "I Should Have Flown Better". I actually know some people that have been in plane crashes: some survived, and some did not. I wanted to be a pilot for a while when I was in junior high school, but heard the competition was fierce with all of the American pilots that flew in Viet Nam. Anyway, your recording sounds a lot like the Beatles instrumentally, and your vocals sound good. The lyrics are funny. Sorry Timeshare didn't do better; I thought it was funny.

wagtunes,
After listening to your "Please Please Oh Pretty Please", I had to listen to the Beatles' "Please Please Me" on the youtube for comparison. Your song definitely sounds Beatlesque, but I would say your song qualifies as an original song. There is an element of humor in the lyrics, and the melodies are very good. Nice, entertaining song! Yep, made me smile!

wagtunes,
Now listening to "Help (I've Fallen And I Can't Get Up)": very nice audio quality per usual. Very good melodies as usual. The vocals work well. I like it! If they ever come out with a new "Golden Girls" TV show, the song might fit right in!

Liked "All you need is a glove" the best for some reason I was expecting a Beatles cover. And there were some distant shades of that in there somewhere, even a some nice brass.
I liked the vibe of Long and Winding. Is this supposed to be a Beatles inspired album, or is it all subconscious?

It's a Beatles Parody inspired by the TV show I put on.Bansaw wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 11:41 pm Liked "All you need is a glove" the best for some reason I was expecting a Beatles cover. And there were some distant shades of that in there somewhere, even a some nice brass.

wagtunes,
Now listening to "All You Need's a Glove": I was anticipating a cover or permutation of "All You Need is Love": I hear it in the chorus, of course. It sounds very Beatle-esque with the nice piano, drums, and trumpet. I like the vocals........yeehaw! I lived in Fort Worth, Texas for 3 years, long ago. So I am qualified to review the yeehaw. Nice song and recording! . I watched your video up above; that was entertaining. In 2017, I went to Liverpool, England and some other places. I was hoping the people in Liverpool would have a Beatles' type of accent, but I didn't hear it. Just your regular English accent. Went to a nice Beatles museum there.

Thanks for all the kind words Aaron. Had a lot of fun doing these songs. Probably one of my favorite albums.aaron aardvark wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 5:43 am wagtunes,
