The echo-y metallic thing at the very beginning of this song

I've heard it somewhere else, too, possibly a Carbon Based Lifeforms song?

Thanks in advance ...it's been driving me nuts for a day now.

You can get very very similar if not the same sound with Ableton Collision (start with preset Ambient Computer Bell) or ReasonStudios Objekt.

Not sure, but Sons of Liberty used the Korg Trinity, so maybe Harry reused it for Snake Eater.

You might be right. I watched some Trinity videos and heard a few sounds that, pitched down with some effects added, would probably do it.

I posted in hopes that this was a popular patch and someone would just be like, "Oh, that's 902 on the JV-2080" or something. Ah well.

And the CBL song I was thinking of is Submerged, which, listening to it again, is definitely not the same patch

I just sort of think it's some Omnisphere sample.

I don't know what, but I just thought that maybe it sounded similar to something there.
