wow, I really didn't think 360 would work without the hardware but as you say, yes it does.
This was an extremely nice surprise. I wonder whether they will overhaul some of the other plugins, I have X Comp and Saturator too.

These models seem very different. I'm not sure you should be trying to share presets across them. Even if they did work, they might sound very different.ChamomileShark wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 10:59 am hmm, one thing I've noticed - the channel strip v2 isn't loading the VST3 presets I created in the old version.
I created a test preset in V2, went to the folder, copied across my old presets into the new folder but V2 is only seeing the new test preset.
Can anyone else confirm?
360 gives you a view of all your channels in one go without having to open various channel instances in your DAW. Changes you make in the SSL mixer window are reflected in those in your DAW.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 1:48 pmWhat's the benefit of the software without the hardware? I'm not getting it.

At the heart of the UC1 is the SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer, allowing users to access and control all of their Channel Strips and Bus Compressors in one virtual console overview, offering a true console-like approach to mixing-in-the-box.
How much?ChamomileShark wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 4:30 pm I'm currently selling a Channel Strip if anyone is interested.- that can be upgraded to version 2 for free.
It's a pretty significant update. The Bus Comp sounds much better (tighter, but in a good way), the Channel Strip EQ looks like it wasn't just decramped but straight up rewritten. The E-channel setting on the EQ adds harmonics that didn't exist on the prior version. It's a big improvement all-around IMO.Razzia wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 1:00 am Have they overhauled the DSP in the plugins? Their site is bad enough on desktop but I’m on mobile right now and it’s even harder to find my way around.
I’ll be very happy to try this out when I get home from work. Would not have expected SSL of all companies to give a free ver. 2 update.
