Kjaerhus banged out his collection within a few years. How long has Melda been in the game? And is this only about Melda?
Some devs get nothing done while with others, everything they touch turns into gold. So what, nothing new
Do you know all effects types in detail or do you outsource some?

The secret is probably to only (or mainly) touch things that tend to turn to gold when you touch them, and leave your fingers off everything else.
Which things turn to gold is highly individual and sometimes hard to find out. So there's absolutely no point in discussing over and over if specialization or diversification is generally better, or discussing specific examples to make one point or another. What matters is to do what works well within one's specific circumstances, preferences, available resources. What works well for Sean Costello is hardly informative about what could work for anyone else.

cherry picking as the basis for overbroad generalisations always seem like a specialised method of supporting a seeming weaseling. i wonder if this has anything to do with a collection of papers on economic theories i once saw on a webpage.soundmodel wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 5:45 pm I know about Kjaerhus Audio, but it's certainly not as extensive as Melda.
Honestly, Melda seems like it's doing more work than even Native Instruments, which certainly has more personnel.
