Following our tradition of rewarding longtime customers and supporting all of our libraries -- and hot on the heels of our recent release of Rust 3, Soundiron is proud to present a complete overhaul and update of the oldie-but-goodie: Rust 1! This update is free for all existing Rust 1 customers and only $49 for everyone else. Rust 1 is an eclectic but deep collection of metallic percussion "instruments" recorded in a variety of natural environments. Some of these objects are roughly tuned to a musical pitch, while others are raw, pure and completely percussive. Rust 1 features classic small objects and found sounds such as metal racks, paint cans, soda cans, magnetic balls, steel pipes, brass hardware as well as large structures like mine shaft gates and I-Beams.
For the new 2.0 update, we've given Rust 1 a complete face lift and usability update. We refined key mapping, zone placement, velocity layering, tuning and even cleaned up some of the old sample edits. We incorporated all of our recent technological features, starting with a full range of user controls to allow total tonal shaping. As an added bonus, we've added a collection of all-new ambient textures and soundscapes.
Each preset now includes the ability to shape note attack, release, offset and tuning. Our popular Uberpeggiator is available allowing for complex and adaptive arpeggiations, and we've included our tempo-syncing resonant filter and volume LFOs. Rust 1 now also features our Mega Mixer, which allows users to load 10 different articulations on-the-fly and configure the key mapping, tuning and dynaimcs of each.
This 2.0 update to Rust 1 has really transformed it into an easy-to-use library suitable for any musical of sound design genre.
