good catchy song, but i still don't get why you mix the bass in your songs to make it sound like i'm using a $1 pair of earbuds from the dollar store. ah well, to each his own! carry on......

Good song! I think at KVR, we are all Jennifers or frustrated artists.
I am guessing "got the ice-cream on her cheek" is a German idiom that you are translating into English. I am not sure what it means exactly.

The compression sounds like a WAVES SSL STRIP PLUGIN pushed beyond the max. Too much.
Is the Bass live? It sounds really well played.
The music reminds me a bit of the Beatles or even The Jeremy Days (if you remember them).
The tune is cool. I like it. The lyric is unusual but that's good imho. I will remember it because it's quirky.
My brother managed The Markthalle in Hamburg for years and all the German Bands always wanted their lyrics translated into perfect English but we both liked it better when the lyrics were left in the original German to English. It sounded cool. Something that helped the songs and the bands stand apart from the competition.

Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Hello Frantz, thanks for your thoughts!Frantz wrote:Good song! I think at KVR, we are all Jennifers or frustrated artists.

And no, "got the ice-cream on her cheek" is no special idiom, it
is just the picture. The picture of a woman enjoying the ice-cream,
and a piece of ice-cream stuck to her cheek - just like it was years
ago when she was a girl. And she remembers her dreams when
she was a girl ... so this "picture" is the tie to the past - and to all her
hidden dreams.
But I think everybody is free to impose his or her own interpretation!

about compression: It's a lot, but it's always a compromise - a hard
choice for me. I see people in my environment listening on i-phone
and mini-speakers, so I chose a harder compression. Maybe too much.
The bass is "live" sampled and tweaked! So in the end it has now
become a midi-track piloting a mulitsample. Initially it once was
"live" - and thus "live" is a relative term.
Beatles and Jeremy Days? Yes, I know them very well ("she's
my brand new toy"). A high comendation, thank you!
Yep, I for myself try to develop my lyrics in "good english" - and I even thinkMy brother managed The Markthalle in Hamburg for years and all the German Bands always wanted their lyrics translated into perfect English but we both liked it better when the lyrics were left in the original German to English. in this language most of the time. But of course, it still stays to be a "kind of
german english".
Your attitude to this phenomen is really cool, I share it unmitigated! Many
Bands, not only from Germany, also from other european states, sing in
a peculiar english ... so it's a very common phenomenon!
A good idea could be: Put a text into the Google-translator a few times.
The result would be very funny and surprising.

It rocks. bass has too much presence, I think you should cut a little bit the medium frequencies from bass.
