This month's effort uses Surge XT to produce a track that has nothing whatsoever to do with chocolate eggs. Anyhoo, this uses 22 instances of Surge XT in Tracktion Waveform Pro 12. The following plugins also make an appearance:

Hi everyone,

guess who's had a middle ear infection (with a bunch of other really fun stuff) for half of the month and still can't hear anything* in their right ear except some fun dual tone tinnitus (slight 1kHz and mostly 4.9kHz btw). Well... Somehow i still managed to make something this month. I made this track in mono - i wore my headphones on my left ear only and then guessed the stereo positions of each instrument and just hope for the best XD I also tried to listen to my track in stereo, *but everything gets quieter above 2.2kHz and I can't hear anything above 11kHz (on my right ear, the left one is fine). So I hope my track is still somewhat listenable in stereo.

I will of course let you know if my hearing was ok during the voting and will try to compensate for my handicap (maybe listen to the left stereo side first and then swap, I'm sure I'll think of something XD)

All sounds designed by me from Init except Snare, which I modified one of the factory patches.
DAW Fx: muverb, limiter, filter, stereo splitter.
(Used Sensel Morph MPE controller to play the lead patch).

The vocal word 'electronic' is from the twist oscilator's wavetables, with surge fx chorus, delay and reverb. The other lead 'vocal' sound also uses the twist oscillator with MPE timbre and pressure used to play the vowels and formants.

my submission this month uses 35 instances of surge xt, although a few were used as audio in bus fx processors (cool feature). got a lot of mileage from surge fx so used all the reverbs and delays and stuff this time straight in the synth.

It uses about 60 instances of Surge XT... although a lot of those are just duplicates with slight changes to help with the mix somewhat...

I took inspiration from a lot of pop music and soundtracks from the 90's that tend to have this blend between more natural sounding instruments and synths. They're sometimes considered kinda cheesy sounding but I've always enjoyed listening to them, so I wanted to channel that kind of vibe here. It was more tough than I expected!

Hi Guys I hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend here is my I think final version of my track. I do hope you enjoy this one and for those who have already heard it thanks for the feedback.

I make it in Ableton 11 on Windows 10 with 12 instances of Surge XT. I used the following effects EQ Eight, Drum buss, Color Limiter, Compressor, Limiter, Glue Compressor, Ozone Imager 2, Re-Enveloper, Auto Filter, note length, Delay, Reverb, STFU, Utility.

This is probably technically not the most perfect song. But in times of AI songs perfection is irrelevant. Ideas are everything. I really like this energy surge. For me it's the best song.
