MIDI template always goes back to default template after reboot

Having a bit of a problem with my Arturia Laboratory 61 keyboard. The filter knob is defect/broken now so I wanted to switch the filter parameter to the knob below it. I opened the MIDI control center and to my surprise this keyboard from 2012 is still being supported, kudos to that.

I made my own template and sent it to the keyboard's memory. I opened Reaper and opened Analog Lab and everything worked like I wanted it to work. Then the next day I booted up my computer again and it turns out that the keyboard has switched back to the default template. This happens everytime I reboot my computer or turn the keyboard off and on. I even tried to edit the default template but you can't save that one the save button is blanked out. I'm on a PC with Windows 10 using the latest versions of the software.

Is there any fix for this?
