Tonehammer release Anti-Drum Vol. 1 and Rust Vol. 1 for Kontakt

22nd December 2008

Tonehammer has announced the release of two new Kontakt based instruments: Anti-Drum Vol. 1 and Rust Vol. 1.

Anti-Drum Vol. 1 contains 19 unconventional percussive instruments sampled in a variety of exotic locations totaling over 1GB and over 2,500 samples. It is a celebration of every day objects and sounds transforming into new and interesting musical instruments. The Anti-Drum instruments ranges from stomp ensembles to water bottle ensembles, from clicking baby toys to wall balls, from "ukelele"- and guitar-drums to shock mounts, from solo clap to clap ensemble and so forth. The vast majority of instruments have been sampled in orchestral halls, so they have a natural acoustic verb, which allows instant integration into templates.

Rust Vol. 1 is a hymn to man-made metal. The library contains 19 different metallic "instruments" ranging from huge sounding Stairwell Railings to Soda Can Ensemble, from Dumpster and Junkyard Percussion to the deep, deep mines in a Black Diamond Airshaft, from Bowed saw to Monkey balls and so forth. Tonehammer Rust Vol. 1 contains over 1GB of metallic samples and over 2,500 samples.

Anti-Drum and Rust follows the unique "deep sampling" philosophy introduced in Tonehammer's first 8 sample libraries, which means that instruments are sampled in up to 20 velocities with 10 repetitions per note, which can be heard in the Tonehammer Hang Drum and Epic Tom Ensemble instruments.
