QESounds releases QES Bowed Cymbal Libraries for Kontakt

1st July 2009

QESounds has announced the release of its flagship product offerings – the QES Bowed Cymbal Libraries for Kontakt 2/3. The libraries come in four versions – with varying bit resolution, number of cymbal bowings and pricing – from dozens to thousands of cymbal bowings.

Bowed cymbals have been a staple of Hollywood soundtrack designers since the 1950s. QESounds says that to date, the only way to use bowed cymbals were to record your own, use an archived audio library of bowed cymbal recordings or settle for the limited offerings in orchestral or percussion libraries. QESounds is changing that with its line of Bowed Cymbals libraries - offering from 350 bowings (16 bit/44.1KHz) in a PayPerDownload library to over 3000 bowings (24 bit/ 44.1KHz) in the Bowed Cymbals Pro library.

The libraries include scripted SoundTools and the Pro version includes VLR (Virtual Layer Remapping) scripting. A Free sample download of 28 bowings without any scripting is available.

The different versions are detail below:
