Steinberg updates Cubase to v6.0.2 and WaveLab to v7.1

Steinberg has released version 6.0.2 updates for its music recording and production solutions, Cubase 6 and Cubase Artist 6, and version 7.1 of WaveLab 7, its editing and mastering solution.

Cubase 6.0.2 [More Details]

The 6.0.2 update contains all improvements of the previously published 6.0.1 pre-release and adds full MP3 support to the Mac OS X 64-bit version. In addition, several minor issues have been fixed, including improved stability when using AudioWarp with élastique Pro algorithms and using ReWire applications with sample rates other than 44.1 kHz.

WaveLab 7.1 [More Details]

The 7.1 versions of WaveLab and WaveLab Elements include an array of more than 60 new features and improvements. Among them is the new DIRAC 3 time-stretch algorithm, the support for the FLAC file format, the new VST 3 Stereo Tools plug-in and numerous enhancements, making the overall WaveLab workflow experience even more convenient.

In addition to the improvements, extensive product maintenance has been conducted. Known issues in program areas such as Audio Editing, Audio Montage, CD burning, CD grabbing, Master section and many more have been fixed, which lets WaveLab become even more stable and reliable in day-to-day production situations.
