VSL releases version 2.0 of Vienna Instruments Pro

28th November 2011

Vienna Symphonic Library has announced the release of Vienna Instruments PRO 2, a major update of their proprietary software sample player, tailor-made for all Vienna Instruments Collections. New features include the powerful APP sequencer, auto humanization, enveloped time stretching, automatic cell naming, enabling/disabling of cells and an option to adjust the sample preload buffer size.

Extended Tools
The new version Vienna Instruments PRO 2 comes with an all-new internal Auto-Playback and Pattern Sequencer that triggers rhythmic patterns, arpeggios, runs and fully orchestrated arrangements in real-time, perfectly synced to the host tempo. The presets of orchestral patterns and voicings may serve as inspiring starting points to overcome the dreaded writer’s block, or as huge time-savers, or simply as a fun way to play the entire orchestra on the keyboard.

In addition, many of the existing features have been improved and extended. Auto humanization automatically assigns appropriate performance accuracy settings to all loaded articulations; enveloped time stretching allows users to determine, which part of an articulation they want to manipulate. With “enabling cells”, specific articulations can be loaded with a simple double-click; “disabling cells” clears samples from RAM, while keeping all patch settings intact. With automatic cell naming, loaded articulations can be identified easily.

Vienna Instruments PRO 2 also benefits from the high speed of Solid State Drives with the option to reduce the sample preload buffer size, allowing users to load 10 times more samples into their RAM, 10 times faster.

Introductory Offer
Registered users of Vienna Instruments PRO may download the new version from the Vienna Symphonic Library website, free of charge. New users may purchase Vienna Instruments PRO 2 at an introductory price of €125 through December 15, 2011 (then €145). As an option to downloading, customers may order a USB flash drive for an additional charge.
