Homegrown Sounds has announced that to coincide with the current sale on sounds for iZotope Iris, a free collection called Gratis IR has been released.
Gratis IR is a collection of pads for iZotope Iris which is equal to half of the other paid collections. Although some samples are borrowed from other Iris releases, the actual Iris instruments are all unique to Gratis IR.
Also released is Lumin IR, a collection of pads which contains 110 instruments and 200 samples. All instruments were constructed using 1-3 samples and take full advantage of the spectral features of Iris, and most have aftertouch assigned to the filter cutoff. The intention was to provide musically useful pads full of texture and movement.
There is currently a sale on all Iris libraries, they usually cost $35 but until August 4th they are available for just $20 each.
