Torn sub releases Shaka - Drum Sampler VSTi for Windows, and announces "Autumn Sale - Buy One, Get Them All"

15th September 2014

Torn sub has released Shaka, a new VST instrument plug-in for Windows.

Shaka is a traditional drum sampler with multi-channel capabilities (11 stereo outputs) that allow the user to build their desired drum-kit using 20 drum elements slots. The 390 samples library is divided into 13 categories (kick, snare, snap, clap, cymbal, hi-hat, hi tom, mid tom, low mid tom, low tom, lazer slide, rim shot, extra sounds). There are 30 full drum-kits in total, fitting many musical genres and of course you can import your own samples.

Each slot can be routed to its own MIDI channel and be controlled by its predetermined MIDI key number and\or MIDI CC value. Each element slot is routed to its own mixer channel and can be manipulated by a new style dual slider filter, attack and release knobs, MIDI limiter and fixed MIDI velocity knobs.

The user can also determine the element's audio output straight from the mixer and route the element's audio to a desired summary channel in Shaka's group mixer stage, and by that, to actually send the desired element groups to separate audio channels in the DAW. The group mixer is equipped with room reverb effect per group channel to add an ambiance effect.

Shaka is equipped with a "One click preset manager" and a "One click bank manager" that allows the user to switch drum-kit presets by a single button click, straight from the GUI. The preset buttons have MIDI learn abilities, so presets can be switched using any MIDI controller.

Price: $39. For more details visit Torn sub's site.
