What Happened On KVR Last Week? (W/E Feb 15)

15th February 2015

This is the first in a new series of "look backs" at the previous few days' news, product releases, videos, uploads, forum postings, etc. at KVR.

The featured news slot was home to Gospel Musicians with their new TGX-99 sample library of the Yamaha SY-99/TG-77 while the featured deal contained a 50% discount offer on Sonivox / Way Out Ware TimewARP 2600 (which is still valid until the end of Feb if you're looking for a bargain).

We finally announced the winner of the discoDSP Bundle giveaway and launched our next one, the Fender SLIDE Mobile Audio Interface Giveaway. We've got 10 of them to giveaway!

Chris published his NAMM 2015 report, well worth a read. Plus, if you haven't checked it out already, Chris posted an interesting interview with Jon Appleton back in January.

It's been a week that featured two Multi-FX plugins in the news: Exponential Audio announced Excalibur, a very interesting looking multi-format modular effect plugin for Mac OS X and Windows, whilst rf-music released Destroyer 2, a multi-fx VST plugin for Windows.

LVC-Audio announced the release of two new limiter plugins for Mac OS X and Windows and Softube unleashed their Transient Shaper.

The most popular topic in the forum over the past few weeks is "Camel Audio ceasing sales?", up to 314 pages now and still we don't know what's happening!?!?!?

Ridan made an interesting post about "Unconventional Plug-ins", have you got any suggestions?

In case you missed it, Omnisphere 2 was announced at NAMM in January and there's a 50 page topic all about it here.

That's it for this week. If you see something interesting on KVR that you think we should feature next week, let us know (email contactus@kvraudio).
