Open Source Audio Research updated Protoplug, the "free, open-source VST/AU plugin that allows a user to load and edit Lua scripts as audio effects and instruments", adding a couple of useful new features.

Alex Hilton's A1StereoControl plugin now has AAX and RTAS plugin versions - a nice free plugin for Pro Tools users.

Do you ever find yourself in desperate need of a Flugelhorn? Well Ueberschall can sort us out with their new Flugelhorn - Elastik Soundbank. Pair this with Daniel Belik's Liner Horn for Kontakt and you could be on the road to inventing a new genre.

For iPad users, Igor Vasiliev released SoundScaper, an interesting app that turns your iPad into an experimental sound mini lab. Check out the intro video here.
