Online Music Foundry releases 'Granular Drum Kits' for Padshop and Padshop Pro

Online Music Foundry has released, Granular Drum Kits, a percussion and sound design expansion pack that offers 350 presets for Steinberg's Padshop and Padshop Pro granular synthesizer plug-ins.

Designed by composer and producer, Gary Gibbons, at the World Worm Studios recording facility in Hong Kong, this sound set demonstrates a different approach in creating drum and percussion tracks by using the Padshop audio engine.

Gary sampled windchimes, bells, one massive frame drum, ethnic hand drums, snare drums, kicks, toms and cymbals using sticks, brushes and mallets, as well as pots, pans, metal objects and wooden sticks.

With this expansion pack you will be able to construct many drum kits that can be used for all styles of music as well as percussive compositions for soundtracks. With the traditional granular synthesis sound FX patches, sound designers and experimental music producers will be able to create soundscapes for genres like dubstep, drumstep, trip-hop, electronic, industrial and film scores.

With 278 manipulated stereo samples, this expansion pack delivers 1 Bass Patch, 4 Bells, 22 Cymbals, 38 Drumsets, 23 Hats, 24 Kicks, 6 Claps and Hits, 23 Percussion Patches, 67 Snares, 39 Toms, 3 Hits & Stabs, 43 Motion FX, 19 Mechanical SFX, 18 Percussion FX and 20 Synthetic FX.
