Plogue updates chipspeech to v1.5

20th September 2016

Plogue has updated chipspeech to v1.5.

Two new characters from the 16-bit computer era join themselves to chipspeech's rowdy bunch: The mad doctor CiderTalk'84, and the all around deadbeat Rotten.ST.

In addition to this, a whole new talking mode is added, to let your favorite voices yabber away in the robotic fashion that we all love.

Talking Mode
Plogue says that these two new "dastardly" guys are all set to express themselves using the new talker mode, which now lets chipspeech voices read text in spoken-word in addition to singing. In particular, using talking mode with CiderTalk'84 and Rotten.ST lets you faithfully capture their original intonations, down to every unique and often quirky detail. Not only that, but their full text-to-speech engine has been brought back, including their unique way of reading English and their charming phonetic aberrations.

The update is free to all current owners.
