Native Instruments announces the Kontakt 2 Tutorial DVD

10th October 2005

Native Instruments has announced the Kontakt 2 Tutorial DVD, the second release in its line of tutorial products following the successful Absynth 3 Tutorial DVD. With more than four hours of high-resolution video tutorial, the new DVD covers both the basics and the details of Kontakt 2, showing how to get the most out of this powerful and versatile instrument for various creative applications.

The Kontakt 2 video workshop is once again hosted by NI product specialist Brian Smith and gives a systematic and detailed insight into the wide range of features and capabilities of NI's flagship sampler. Individual chapters address the basics of working with a software sampler, sample mapping, effects usage, the powerful Kontakt Script Processor, sample import, the extensive surround features, and much more. The tutorial is organized into numerous chapters and segments that allow for quick and convenient access to individual topics of interest. The DVD also comes with a selection of bonus material including sounds and scripts that illustrate specific topics of the workshop.

Additionally the Kontakt 2 Tutorial DVD offers a number of informative and entertaining extras. Interviews with the main designers of Kontakt 2 offer a glimpse behind the scenes of music software development, while studio visits with Atticus Ross, producer for Nine Inch Nails and Korn, and Hollywood composer Harry Gregson-Williams give instructive insights into how the instrument is being used for professional music production, film composing and sound design.

The Kontakt 2 Tutorial DVD will be available in December 2005 for a suggested retail price of $45 / €39 from authorized dealers and in the NI Online Store.
