Steinberg releases free Alto Glockenspiel Essential for HALion and updates Nuendo, Padshop (incl. AAX) and Retrologue 2 (incl. AAX)

Steinberg has released the free Alto Glockenspiel Essential by Cinematique Instruments as well as updates for Padshop Pro, Retrologue 2 and Nuendo.

The Alto Glockenspiel Essential by Cinematique Instruments is a free sampled instrument for HALion and HALion Sonic SE 3, compatible with VST, AAX and AU hosts.

The sounds for Alto Glockenspiel Essential were played with thin sticks for a hard articulation as well as soft mallets for a gentle articulation. 2-3 dynamic layers, Round Robin variations and other control parameters make this Glockenspiel a very different kind of instrument that will provide a lot of joy and fun.

This update for Padshop Pro and Retrologue 2 is small but significant. After installation, both virtual instruments will support high DPI displays and offer AAX compatibility, meaning you can now run these synthesizers in Pro Tools as well.

The Nuendo 8.3.15 maintenance update resolves a few stability issues identified since the previous update.
