Soundiron releases Cathedral of Junk 2.0 upgrade for Kontakt with Intro Offer

18th January 2019

Soundiron has announced the 2.0 upgrade for Cathedral of Junk, an unorthodox collection of metal, scrap heaps, various junk and much more recorded at Vince Hannemann's Cathedral of Junk in Austin, TX.

From gritty industrial music to aggressive EDM and beyond, Cathedral of Junk is a percussive arsenal of steel, plastic, glass and all manner of other glorious scraps that modern progress and consumption has wrought Vince Hannemann aka The Junk King's backyard for over 20 years. Located in the South Congress area of Austin, Vince's Cathedral of Junk rises at least 30 feet into the sky amongst the towering trees in his backyard and probably weighs in at well over 50 tons up to three stories tall. The entire structure is built from a collection of old TVs, car parts, machinery, building materials, appliances and a host of scrap, parts, objects, toys and stuff, from commonplace and identifiable to inexplicable and perplexing. Soundiron took a little field trip and picked, pulled and prodded the structure to find a few dozen unique objects and surfaces to bash some cool sounds out of with drumsticks.

This library is designed to include playable multi-sampled instruments of the coolest and most musical oddities they found, edited and programmed with precision for maximum playability and musicality. It covers everything from old cymbals and refrigerators to saw blades and artificial legs. The final result is a grand old scrap-heap orchestra.

This new upgrade comes with a brand new user interface, sound shaping capabilities and 20 custom sound-designed fx presets. Cathedral of Junk also features intuitive modulation controls for LFO, Filter and a built in Arpeggiator providing a multitude of sonic possibilities.

Price: $19 USD - There is an introduction offer of $13 USD until January 29 at: soundiron.com/products/cathedral-of-junk
