Cinematique Instruments releases Mountain Dulcimer for Kontakt and reduces the prices of Marble, Zilhoutte, and Interval

21st August 2022

Cinematique Instruments released Mountain Dulcimer as a new member of their Stringed Instruments category, and announced a price reduction on three of their top instruments: Marble, Zilhoutte, and Interval.

Priced at 45 EUR, the Mountain Dulcimer Kontakt instrument comes with five different articulations, a strumming engine, and more.

Cinematique Instruments says:

We focused on capturing the Mountain Dulcimer in a variety of articulations and the new Stringed 2022 GUI impressively keeps many options available. But in no way should we forget to mention the soft shimmering strumming, which can be achieved with our Strumming Engine.

This strumming engine is very realistic and simulates the velvety and delicate strumming of the Mountain Dulcimer. It is a unique feature with a Strumming Speed Slider that mimics the speed of the hand and drone option.

The Mountain Dulcimer also contains 5 presets, articulations such as finger plucking, hammer and unison, a glissando mode, a tremolo which you can control using the mod-wheel, and eight types of reverb, FX, and an arpeggiator.

When it comes to the sound itself, Cinematique Instruments summarizes it:

We mainly focused on capturing the notes in a very realistic and organic way. All main articulations were recorded with a cool condenser in four times round robins and 2-3 velocity layers.

We recorded many different and unique articulations to give you a vast spectrum of sound possibilities. Each of them is useful for a different kind of musical style.
