Nektar announces Panorama CST Channel Strip and DAW Controller

14th April 2023

Nektar has announced a new product in their Panorama series of controllers, the Panorama CST. Featuring deeper integration with planned support for more DAWs, the Panorama CST allows for control and mapping of many common DAW functions, including control for EQs, transport functions, mixer functions, intelligent control of insert effects and more.

The hardware features a high-resolution motorized fader and rotary encoder for precise adjustments of parameters with visual feedback from a sizeable LCD screen and LED level meters, multiple backlit buttons for transport and insert effect control and an additional 15 rotary encoders for plugin parameter adjustments.

For those wishing to still rely on a mouse alongside the controller, the fader and rotary encoder can automatically be assigned to any DAW or plugin parameter by selecting it with a mouse in the DAW, not entirely dissimilar to Steinberg's AI knob found in their CC121 controller. An innovative 'auto-touch' feature is also available which, when enabled, will turn on automation write in the DAW only when the assigned control on the unit is engaged.

No official press release or info on availability and pricing was available at the time of writing.
