Audulus updated to 4.1 - New DSP Node and Enhanced Code Editor

16th April 2023

Audulus LLC has announced the release of Audulus version 4.1, featuring a new DSP node that streamlines low-level audio programming. The DSP node enables users to write their own low-level digital signal processing (DSP) code in the easy-to-understand Lua scripting language.

DSP node allows you to write your own low-level DSP code, except it's much easier than typical DSP programming because you don't have to worry about crashes or how long many operations take.

Taylor Holliday, Audulus developer

In addition to the DSP node, Audulus 4.1 also brings quality of life improvements to the code editor, such as improved handling of parentheses and more efficient tabbing through default arguments.

As someone who's relatively new to coding, I've found that Audulus 4 has really helped me learn the fundamentals of programming. I've made a few examples and posted them to my Audulus-DSP repo, but I'm looking forward to seeing what a more experienced community can come up with, and what we can all learn from one another.

Mark Boyd, Audulus Technology Evangelist

The Audulus-DSP repository, a user-driven project, can be accessed on Github. Users of all experience level are encouraged to star and contribute to the initiative.

Audulus 4.1 is available now as a free download on the Mac and iPad App Stores. Patch editing is an in-app purchase upgrade for $29.99 USD.
