Plugsound 2 - Fretted Instruments now shipping

'Plugsound 2 - Fretted Instruments' brings together an unprecedented collection of instruments. Guitars and basses of course, but it's a huge collection that doesn't stop here. It's for pop and contemporary music obviously, and it also excels in ethnic and electro styles.

The sound library includes a whooping 660 MB of samples (over 3,000!) used by 256 presets. Under the hood is the powerful UVI-Engine which features dual multimode filters, two envelopes, complete MIDI control via Continuous Controllers, a killer mono-legato mode and much more.

'Plugsound 2 - Fretted Instruments' kicks off with an acoustic guitar section. It includes a Nylon guitar custom-made by acclaimed maker Gerome, and a wonderful spanish-style nylon guitar. Moving on to steel strings, a 12 strings and several 6 strings acoustics (from makers Guild, Martin, Gerome and Maruha) are featured. Several Dobro and Bottleneck presets add their unique colour to the acoustic section. The electric guitar section packs several clean Strat' sounds through D.I. or amps like Jazz Chorus or Twin reverb. The D.I. are especially handy if you own an amp modeling effect plug-in. Distorted Strat' is included too, captured with a ubiquitous SM57. The legendary Gibson Les Paul is next, sampled through several different amps. The electric section then provides the Gibson 335, Jazz guitars, muted playing style guitars, etc.

The Bass section starts with an awesome selection of Double Basses. Then a wide range of electric bass is covered, both fretted and fretless, including all the classic instruments like Jazz Bass, and many others, covering all current styles. And that's not all: volume two includes many more sounds like some superb Harp presets and many "ethnic" sounds.

The Ethnic section includes a great selection of usually very hard to find multisamples like Banjo, Mandolin, Celtic guitar, Lute, Sitar (and electric Sitar), Baglamas, Bozouki, Jubus, Oud, Lute from Morocco, Saz and Tzouras.

Each Plugsound volume is a virtual instrument based on a professional sample library, available as a VST2, MAS and RTAS plug-in. This means that it can be used in Cubase, Nuendo, Digital Performer, Logic Audio, Pro Tools (Mac only), and even Sonar (with a wrapper). 'Plugsound 2 - Fretted Instruments' is supplied on a CDROM with printed manual and sound listings, plus multi-language PDF manuals & tutorials.
