4drx has updated VirtualKeyboard to version 1.8.0. This version was designed to assist musicians in easily and efficiently creating MIDI loops.
New features:
- New musician-friendly MIDI recording controls:
- "Tap to Record" to start recording with the tempo of your choice.
- Pre-count beats which adapt to the selected time signature.
- A rewind button to cancel the recording so you can quickly redo your take.
- MIDI recordings are automatically trimmed at the end of the last bar when you stop.
- When you save you don't need the keyboard: the name of the file is automatically created with the date and time of the take.
- New tool to transpose MIDI files between music keys.
- Improvements in the piano sound.
Other improvements:
- Signed binaries for Apple Silicon and Windows.
- Program changes are now supported in the MIDI-learn controls.
- The folders from where you load and save MIDI are now remembered.
- Performance improvements and bug fixes.
This update is free for all licensed users of VirtualKeyboard.
