Cakewalk Launches Project5.com

Cakewalk have launched Project5.com - a "virtual community for the Project5 enthusiast". Project5.com was created to help electronic musicians take full advantage of the Project5 Soft Synth Workstation by providing free tutorials and tips, drum kits, sampler banks, synth presets, and groove patterns.

Project5.com also provides an online community where users can exchange project files, synth patches, and patterns. Visitors can also read interviews and features with music technology leaders and Project5 artists.

To celebrate the launch of Project5.com, Cakewalk has teamed up with Alienware, Edirol, Intel, Native Instruments, and Roland to provide an opportunity to win a mobile recording studio worth over $7000. Prizes include an Alienware laptop, software from Cakewalk and Native Instruments, and hardware from Roland & Edirol. Participants can enter the contest by visiting Project5.com and downloading the free Project5 trial version, or by registering their purchased copy of Project5 with Cakewalk at cakewalk.com. Entries for the contest must be received by January 31st, 2004.
