discoDSP updates Discovery Pro to R5.3 and announces Special Offer Pricing for August

discoDSP has updated Discovery Pro to R5.3, a free update for Mac OS X and Windows. discoDSP has also announced that until the end of August Discovery Pro can be purchased for €99 / $125 / £79 / ¥10.500. From September 1st the price will go back to €149 / $199 / £129 / ¥18.500.

Changes:

• Faster Sine Wave VA oscillator.
• Aftertouch support. Use EDIT > Switch > Aftertouch mode or Shift + Click ABCD button to set up.
• MIDI CC Switch to edit Layers A-D. Use CC #63.
• EDIT > Help > Open HTML Manual.
• EDIT > File > Open Presets Folder.
• Settings saved using XML.
• Drop down preset zone menus are alphabetically sorted now.
• Wave OSC tabs changed to WAVE GATE MOD DELAY.
• Bigger click area for Wave tabs.
• Optimized Program and Bank LCD names display.
• More Zone presets for Delay, Gate, Mod Gate, LFO1, LFO2.
• Bug fixes.

Zvon Discovery Pro Wave Bank
The original samples from which this soundfont is derived are from the University of Iowa collection. The samples actually in the Zvon WB (Winds and Brass) discoDSP SoundFont are those new samples and none of the University of Iowa original samples are used in it.

There are 15 programs. The first 7 are solo instruments and the 8 others are combis: bass clarinet, alto sax, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, french horn and tenor trombone.
