FXpansion has released beta version v1.5.0.37 of BFD for Windows.

Changes since v1.5.0 build 34:

  • Fixed: CPU spike during preview.
  • Fixed: substituted toms now show source tom's info and photo in Kit Piece inspector.
  • Fixed: Synth Engine Options could revert to their runtime settings (rather than those flushed to preferences / reg for next boot) when multiple options where changed.
  • Fixed: Synth Engine only reboots if an engine has changed from old state. Before, you could toggle an option twice, and engine would still reboot.
  • Fixed: Swing Template combo wasn't displaying correct swing template on non-first viewings.
  • Fixed: Unloading a kit piece from mixer page 2 when mixer page 1 was showing would temporarily show the mixer page 1 slot as unloaded.
  • Added: pitch wheel support! BFD now has a global +/- 1 octave pitch bend.
  • Added: support for midi song start, song stop messages (starts / stops default groove).
  • Added: more MIDI messages are shown in the Advanced Hit Options MIDI log and context info box.
  • Improved: voice sample index calculation during detune now faster.
  • Fixed Phase flip switches, recently broken.
  • Fixed "The Greg From Ohm Force" hihat choking other instruments issue (hihat and other instruments had hit types with "null" trigger notes).
  • Fixed BFD Groups output assignment matrix being ignored.
  • Fixed MIDI Notes sent out from BFD are terminated ("hanging notes" issue).
  • Improved: ctrl memory usage reduced by about 170kB.
  • Improved: preview clicking in the Kit Piece Inspector will now fall through to substitute hit types if that kit piece doesn't have that hit (or it isn't loaded).
