With the Stradivari Solo Violin, Garritan aims to place one of the world's best violins, three hundred years old and worth millions, in the hands of any performer with a computer and keyboard. "Thrilling" dynamic and timbral changes can be created within a single note or phrase using Garritan's exclusive "Sonic Morphing" technology, which phase-aligns a series of samples into cohesive real-time performances that will, apparently, "blow away" anything previously achieved by traditional sampling techniques. The Stradivari Solo Violin is also the first hybrid violin using instrument body resonances that allow for new levels of expression. Control onset, rate and intensity of vibrato, change articulations in real-time, and more.
Stradivari Solo Violin was created by Giorgio Tommasini, Stefano Lucato and Gary Garritan and is available now for an MSRP of $199.
