At Musikmesse IK Multimedia and Sonic Reality have announced their next powerful collaborative effort, StudioPhonik, the first Studio Instrument Module. For the first time, one virtual instrument plug-in is dedicated to reproducing the diverse sounds and instrumentation of full bands in high-end recording studios. With a wide selection of custom, vintage and top of the line drums, percussion, guitars, bass, keyboards and horns the user can produce an incredibly realistic and professional sounding virtual band in their sequencer, all from one plug-in.

The studio instrument experience wouldn't be complete without inclusion of an entire rack of virtual outboard effects including tube modeled compressors, limiters, analog EQs, amp and cabinet simulators plus reverbs, delays and over 30 different virtual DSP effect boxes instantly inserted on every instrument's channel. StudioPhonik's massive multi-gig library includes one of the widest selections of guitars, bass and drums ever assembled giving the user unprecedented power and convenience when producing in the virtual studio environment. Mix controls allows for a unique sound control like adjustment of dry and room mics for drums, direct ins and mics for guitars, pick-up selection for basses and more high-end sound controls which cannot be found anywhere else in software or hardware instruments.

StudioPhonik is expected to be released summer 2004 and will be available as a plug-in for every sequencer platform including RTAS, VST, DX, MAS and Audio Unit on Windows and Mac OS. MSRP will be $/Euro 399 and will be available exclusively from IK Multimedia and its distributors and dealers network worldwide.
