Modartt updates Pianoteq to v3.0.3 (incl. native Linux version) and releases Vibes add-on (2 virtual vibraphones)
Modartt has announced the release of its new Vibes add-on for Pianoteq, which features two "beautiful" virtual vibraphones. Pianoteq has also been updated to v3.0.3 which, along with support for the Vibes add-on, includes the release of a native Linux (x86) version of Pianoteq.
Vibes Add-on
Using a newly extended model, Pianoteq can now reproduce the beautiful sound of the vibraphone. Two virtual vibraphones, V-M and V-B, are provided as embedded add-ons and included in the latest update of Pianoteq 3 for demo evaluation.
- The V-M is a virtual copy of a Musser vibraphone that belongs to the famous French vibraphonist Dany Doriz.
- The V-B is a virtual copy of a Bergerault vibraphone that belongs to the Condorcet studio in Toulouse (France).
Thanks to the physical model the range of the vibraphones is extended from 3 to 5 octaves. Each instrument is provided with several variants and by using interface features, such as mallet hardness and tremolo, the user can customize them to his own taste.
The Vibes add-on can be purchased by all Pianoteq customers for €49. Audio demos and a free Pianoteq trial version are available at www.pianoteq.com.
Summary of changes in the v3.0.3 update:
- Native Linux (x86) version now available, with Jack and ALSA backends.
- Added vibraphone model.
- Auxiliary output buses available for the AudioUnit version.
