Precisionsound has announced the release of Solovox in HALion, Kontakt and SoundFont formats.
Hammond Solovox was probably the first commercial monophonic valve synthesizer made and it is completely tube technology under the hood, producing a very warm and organic sound. Hammond started to sell it in 1940 and the first model (Model J) is the one Precisionsound has used to produce the Solovox SampleSet.
The natural range of the Solovox is F1-B6. Divided into 4 registers; "Bass", "Tenor", "Contralto" and "Soprano". 4 different tone colours; "Deep", "Full", "First voice" and "Second voice".
The Solovox SampleSet contains 531 24bit mono samples mapped in:
- 12 programs for HALion 1.1+.
- 14 programs for NI Kontakt 1.5.3+.
- 23 programs in 1 SoundFont bank.
All formats are included when you buy the library. Solovox costs $39 (+$11 if you want it on CD).
