reViSiT v0.87 Alpha released

-
Chris Nash

reViSiT v0.87 Alpha is now available.

Main changes:

  • Advanced Sync Support: reViSiTs sync algorithm has been significantly improved, so as to support variable length patterns, pattern breaks (Cxx) and pattern loops (SBx). A playlist or pattern rows is pre-computed during editing, so that there is nothing extra to do for playback, and host synchronisation is perfectly accurate and instantaneous.
  • Pattern Options: Pressing Ctrl-F2 in the pattern editor will now take you to the Pattern Options dialog, where you can change settings for minor and major row highlights and pattern length, for the current pattern.
  • Ableton Live and Magix Samplitude support: reViSiT now includes workarounds for the bugs in both these programs that prevented reViSiTs use in-sync with the host (sometimes causing crashes).
  • A New Interface Look: reViSiTs interface has been given a total make-over, and now boasts a sleeker, friendlier look. Nonetheless, it still works in the same tried and tested way as before.
  • New keyboard commands and keyboard reference: There are many new keyboard commands. Also, the online FAQ now has a list of keyboard commands supported in v0.87.
  • reViSiT v0.87 has many more additions and changes. You are strongly recommended to see the associated release notes for full details.
