Sampleson releases Model T - Spectral Modeled Hohner Pianet T

Sampleson has released Model T, a recreation of the classic Hohner Pianet T electromechanical piano in Standalone and VST/AU virtual instrument formats.

This is what they say: "We recreated the Hohner Pianet T by Spectral Modeling, offering the real sound and feel of the simplest electromechanical piano in the history in just 30MB. Carefully crafted. Detailed recreation of every single mechanical noise and main timbre. No velocity switching since is not sample-based. Available for Mac & Win, Standalone and Plug-in versions."

The Hohner Pianet T was a reed-based electric piano introduced in 1977. And today is one of the most affordable vintage electric pianos you can get. Despite the simple design (no sustain pedal or volume/tone knobs) the Pianet T offers a warm and punchy sound, present on many records from the late '70s.

This is the 3rd instrument from Sampleson using the spectral modeling technique. Spectral modeling is based on the recreation of the harmonic spectra of the original timbre by the simple summation of sine waves.

You can get a demo or purchase the full version ($19.95 intro price) here.
