SKnote releases "Attitude" Series Synths: Unpolite, Shy and Harmful (and announces Bully)
SKnote has announced that the first three small synths in the "Attitude" series are now available. Each small and simple synthesizer has few controls and can be fully programmed by a standard MIDI controller. A complicated control is replaced by a specific "attitude". They can be used as MIDI controlled effects, too, by means of live audio inputs.
- Unpolite is for leads. It is dual-voice and includes an overdrive. It doesn't contain any filter, it is based on discrete summation additive synthesis.
- Harmful is for synthetic drums. It is mono-timbral (one track and one instance for each drum is needed) while a multi-timbral version is almost ready for release. Harmful is based on several algorithms: additive, subtractive, frequency modulation. It includes a limiter for "punch".
- Shy is for pads. It is polyphonic (20 voices). Shy is based on two-dimensional seamless wavetables and two-dimensional seamless filter maps. It includes a multiple stereo chorus for stereo spread.
Unpolite, Harmless and Shy are available now as VST instrument plug-ins for Windows priced at €29 each (or less for existing SKnote customers).
The next release in the attitude series will be Bully, a dual-voice bass synthesizer. It's currently in Beta testing.
