Sound Magic has released version 3.0 of Thor, a major new version of the virtual instrument piano plug-in, now featuring four classic Steinway pianos:
- Horowitz Steinway is the piano that the pianist Vladimir Horowitz loved most, this Steinway D boasts a rich sound and dynamic, full resonance performance that can last more than two minutes.
- Hamburg Legend was made in Hamburg, Germany; this Steinway D features a uniquely positioning mic that captures mellow sounds, a more powerful bass, and a smooth singing tone across mids and highs; all to create a stronger emotional connection.
- American Grand is designed in the one of the most iconic cities in the world, New York, this Steinway maintains transparency across frequency and boasts a soft attach that lets it blend into larger ensemble.
- Studio B is famous for its endless versatility across all genres of music, this Steinway B offers the balance of both size and power making it the ideal piano for musicians of all skill levels.
Thor is priced at $149 and provided as plugin for Mac (AU 32-/64-bit, VST 32-/64-bit) and Windows (VST 32-/64-bit).
Sound Magic has also announced its Thor Special Sale Event, which start from April 12th until April 15th. It has discounts (up to 50%) on several instruments, including Chinese instruments, pianos and effect units.
