Sounds And Effects has announced the release of Pure Acoustic guitars for Native Instruments' Kontakt.
Pure Acoustic guitars features two guitars (a Martin HD-28, and Taylor 410) on two DVDs, with each note sampled, and up to 9 samples/note and 24/96 resolution - over 5500 samples - for a total of over 8 Gb. The concept was to create the most playable & realistic acoustic guitar library, without any compromises. The recording sessions used Schoeps mikes and API pre-amps.
Articulations include picked, picked vibrato soft/hard, fingerstyle vibrato, half step slides, harmonics, mutes, open strings, and the low E string de-tuned to low D to capture deep buzzy bass notes. Also, many fret noises are included.
Pure Acoustic guitars has an MSRP of $199. MP3 demos are available.
