Spire on Catalina

Hi,

I’ve been using spire (up to 1.5.8 ) on Mojave for ages and it all seems fine. Yesterday I upgraded from Mojave to Catalina so I could upgrade to the latest Logic Pro X 10.6.3.

Once thing I’ve noticed is that a single preset is maxing out one core on the performance monitor. Never really had that before on Mojave or on the older Logic Pro (10.5.1).

I uninstalled Spire and downloaded the 10.15+ version (Big Sur version) but still experiencing this issue.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like you mac may not have the power required for Catalina. I’m on Big Sur, 2017 iMac and it’s super light on the cpu.

It’s a 2018 (2020) Mac mini so I’m sure it’s not the Mac.
