Since HostingAU came out, I think there are some new AUv3 plugin types that aren't yet supported. Will there be an update to support these newer types? MIDI FX Processors like those from HY=Plugins don't show in HostingAU. Also, I don't think Hosting AU supports multichannel MIDI FX Plugins as well. Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Ocsprey,
Thank you for your comment! Indeed, not so many AUv3 plugins are tested with actually unless I receive those reports. I saw the latest FAC plugins work though... for the MIDI matter, I think the MIDI router (in Hosting AU) must be redone first of all. So if it will be done, it will be included in a large update.

Hi micqo,
Haven't tested SysEx ever well. Although Hosting AU should pass the incoming MIDI messages as they are to plugins, technically/basically to speak. If you have any chance, pls give it a try.

I will have to check, but there's a newer specific AUv3 type that can send and receive multiple channels of MIDI, and I believe a 2nd AUv3 type will also do multi-channel audio. I will check when I can for some examples.

OK - please check the plugins from Hy-plugins. You'll see Hy-slicer shows in Hosting AU as it's the Instrument type AUv3 - but Hy-MPS2, RPE2, SEQ16x3x2,SEQ32, and SeqCollection2 - are all of the AUv3 type MIDI Processor. They all validate in Logic - and there are free demo versions which should make easy for testing - https://hy-plugins.com. Here's a nice overview article of the AUv3 MIDI types by a dev - https://ruismaker.com/au-midi-plugins/.
