A lot of the v4 videos still apply, but, of course there are features that are new to v5. I'll add videos as needed to this.
First one up, though, by popular demand, the Rhythm Lab..

yea, thanks..
I totally missed the "obsolete" choice in the rhythm drop down, which is of course, the removed generators.
I might have to do a second video, because, I am finding and getting really great results with certain combinations. Like, in the rhythm processing section, adding rests before or after. Using the change note length by percentage.
I found that if you turn off sustain notes, to no change, get it in a "ball park" area of what you want, then changing the note lengths to a percentage, you can get really good random generated results.
I also found that if the number of notes is equal to the preset count, it won't generate randomly. To get around that, set the preset, like maybe 8, then change the note count above or below that.

Wow.! Thanks for your video Gene... much appreciated (easier seeing/doing than 'describing' in words only...)BluGenes wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 7:09 pm Like, in the rhythm processing section, adding rests before or after. Using the change note length by percentage.

I've literally just been trying some things you suggest from the vid; but still not having much fun with the rests and lengths... (don't worry - its not you; its definitely me.!!)
Glad you've written these next steps here... will go back and have another try later (got to go earn some money.!) A second vid, if you've time, would be cool - even a short one...

Hi. Recently joined the club. Are arbitrary CCs supported in the CC editor? Many of my devices use a wide ranges of CCs, so that could be useful given how well it's linked to phrases.

In RC, if you double click a phrase into the phrase editor, at the bottom is the CC editor. If you click the little plus sign next to the one labeled velocity, you will see a list of the CC's you can use in RC. Those are "hard coded", which means that is the only ones allowed to be used..

Hi Jmf1928,
will you provide examples of what you mean by arbitrary CC's? E.g. would you like to use CC's that are used for the LSB of a 14-bit CC? You can select from all CC's including 'undefined' ones, but I did not know the LSB values can be used separately from the MSB in a non-standard way.
Thanks,
Attila

In this video I show how to create a simple backing style track and I use the AI to generate the melody. The track was created so I could use it in a looper peddle to jam with.

Kind of cool too, I changed the genre, but, used the same prompt for the melody and it actually tried to get the genre correct. Pretty good results, I had tried country pop.. so, I am confident it works..
