Was watching someone’s overview of what’s new in Logic Pro 11 just to see if anything enticed me to try it - the AI stuff didn’t - but it seems Logic users can finally route MIDI from instrument plugins to other plugins which always struck me as a big limitation.

Oh my.. thank God I chose Reaper when I switched from Cubase 13 years ago. I almost chose Logic mostly due to the UI, but ended up making my own reaper theme because I loved its flexibility. I had no idea something so basic was missing from Logic. Its insane, I use that on every track.WatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 12:23 pm it seems Logic users can finally route MIDI from instrument plugins to other plugins

You could always route MIDI from one track to another using the Environment window, but you couldn't take the output of MIDI FX plugins or a synth's inbuilt sequencer and route that MIDI to other tracks, until now. Although, I suspect the number of AUv3 synths that have that feature enabled and ready to go may be limited right now.
Edit: Perhaps I'm being too pessimistic. I've already seen one report of this working using currently available instrument plugins.

I did not think I would want another arpeggiator, but I just had 30 minutes of great fun using this one.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

There is no choice, only action. Smash that buy now button!
Edit: oops, I ordered the Granulizer too...hit the buy now button too hard.

Hey, Check this out!
Harmonic Animator

Looks interesting! Any alternatives?
What midi fx should connect before it or after it.
Before it should be a chord midi fx or you playing chords on a midi controller.

Grooveshaper by Pitch Innovations does a lot of the rhythmic stuff this does but this does chord inversions too.Kalamata Kid wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 12:41 pm Hey, Check this out!

There is an option for scene switching via midi note, so you can play chords in the right hand and alter the processing with your left hand, for example.
