I’d like to thank the developers, but…
- Still impossible to run old and new version together
- Bank list empty (impossible to select any patch)
- Double clic on the vst window frame crashes the host
Conclusion: unusable

If you already bought it, then you should have received an email with a link to the new downloads. Perhaps check your spam folder in case it was improperly sorted. If that doesn't help PM me what email you used and I should be able to go into gumroad to resend it.sagetone wrote:which I already bought. What am I missing here?

Zynaddsubfx 3.0.3 - The “She Scanned” Release
4 Dec 2017
There are lots of improvements in the code that need to get in your computer/DAW! Let’s have a release! This is mostly a bugfix release, making Zyn a smoother and more stable audio design/music making experience. Especially notable the preset and session file loading has been cleaned up and polished, now including a search in the legacy fltk UI version. Another cool new feature is using more of your computer cores (if available) to generate the padsynth wavetables so you can hear the results of your tweaking much sooner (not yet available on windows). Many causes of crashes were fixed for both Zyn-Fusion users and users of the legacy UI.
Finally, we are very pleased to announce that this is the last release before the free licensing of the zyn-fusion UI source code. In fulfilment of our promised dedication to open source and free-licensed software, this month we expect to have everything fully converted to MIT or GPL license and publicly available. This marks the end of the “fundraiser” portion of the open-source-eventually scheme, attempting to finance the full time work that allowed the completion of zyn-fusion. Binaries for those who don’t want to build from source will still be available for sale for a modest (not yet determined) price which will continue to fund bug fixes and new features. We thank all of you for your support.
Here is the complete changelog for the zyn engine and the Fusion UI:
Add bank search to FLTK/NTK GUI
Add parallel padsynth sample generation
Remove X11 dependency for non-GUI builds
Fix crash when changing modulation types in running notes
Fix NullEngine usleep() on windows
Fix loading filter parameters with older xml
Fix effect saving when updating with zyn-fusion interface
Fix crash on close under some VST hosts
Fix (again) crash on File->quit in plugin host
Disable mouse control of VU/mixer meters
Fix bank path on windows VST
Fix Windows path nagivation to root dir
Darken file selection background
Add favorite selection clear via right-click
Add favorite deduplication
Fix partial clear of macro fields
Add default to macro offset/gain
Prevent multiple dropdowns from existing in the UI
Fix crash in batch harmonic edit
Fix read-only operations on windows due to platform specific usleep()
Fix "Quarter" misspelling
Fix error backtrace window on windows
Fix stuck notes when disabling part
Fix inverted left/right in mixer VU
Fix disconnected Sub Synth filter visualization
Fix crashes related to filter visualization when changing views
Fix delayed updates when using double-click resets
Fix crash with no-favorites
Fix crash when changing to distortion view
Fix bug related to loading filter parameters in old VST saves
Fix some keyboard events in some VST hosts (e.g. FL Studio)
Fix saving effects from fusion UI
Fix unlabeled cutoff/resonance/gain in dynamic filter
Fix effect group scroll behavior
Fix backspace in part setting's part name
Fix repeated keyboard note-on events
Remove extra virtual keyboard key
Connect LFO graphical representation drag events to underlying parameters
Fix crash from midi automation meta-feedback
Add visual indicator of click for copy/paste buttons
Add missing EQ Copy/Paste
Add missing Distort Copy/Paste
Fixed Addsynth resonance copy/paste
Fixed Voice copy/paste
Build process is now reproducible
Fix minor bugs
And here’s the contribution score card by number of commits since 3.0.2: (df5635ad2)

ZynAddSubFX 3.0.4 - The “Calamine” Release
March 10th 2019
Hello everyone,
I’m glad to announce the 3.0.4 release of ZynAddSubFX. This release features a number of user interface visual refinements, the LFO random mode, as well as improved parameter resolution for two add synth volume parameters. Additionally for packagers, this release is now compatible with the new MXML 3.0 library API.
For those using the gumroad builds, those should be up in the next few days. Windows users should be mindful that since 3.0.3, there appears to be a regression in the startup of the standalone GUI. So, if there are issues there, it may be best to use the plugin version or 3.0.3 version until that’s fixed. If there’s anyone building for that platform who’s interested in tracing the root cause of that issue, let us know.
Changelog highlights:
- Add scripting to zyn-fusion UI for automated screen capture
- Add double click to reset sliders
- Add random LFO mode
- Add compatibility with MXML 3.0
- Enhance modulation volume parameter resolution
- Enhance global volume parameter resolution
- Enhance state variable filter interpolation
- General UI Cleaning
- Fix pops with note aftertouch
- Fix pad synth export
- Fix envelope watchpoint visualization
- Fix .xlz load/save in fusion UI
And here’s the contribution score card by number of commits since 3.0.3: (134e46f633)

For anyone interested in seeing what new things to expect in Zyn over the next year, I’d recommend taking a look at the zynaddsubfx-user mailing list where students are actively discussing their idea’s for this year’s Google Summer of Code. This is Zyn’s first involvement as a mentoring organization and there should be some interesting projects as a result.

ZynAddSubFX 3.0.5 - “The Butterfly Effect” Release
15 April 2019
The Zyn team is excited to announce the first of our regular quarterly releases. Our usual inclination is to try to get all the bugs fixed and do a release, but using a scheduled release model will force us to deliver the fixes that are ready sooner rather than waiting for some unrelated feature or fix. Of course this doesn’t prevent us from releasing in between the scheduled releases, but this gives you something to look forward to four times a year.
Despite being “just” a scheduled release there are some great improvements here for our favorite synth, including making LFOs and volumes work with real-world units (like Hz, seconds, decibels) allowing for laser-beam accuracy in your sound design. Of course, you can always still tune it by ear too!
Here’s the full changelog:
- Add Stereo peaks for individual part metering
- Change LFO frequency units to Hz (from unitless)
- Enhance LFO delay parameter resolution and units (seconds)
- Enhance global volume parameter resolution and units (dB)
- Enhance part volume parameter resolution and units (dB)
- Enhance sub synth volume parameter resolution and units (dB)
- Enhance sub synth volume velocity sensing resolution
- Fix zippering when changing master volume
- Fix misaligned points in live envelope values
- Fix possible crash when envelopes are provided invalid live data
- Fix minor bugs
And here’s the contribution score card by number of commits since 3.0.4: (576f1371b4)
