Hello everyone, I found a bunch of free tools: https://www.tbproaudio.de/download
Likely, you've already mentioned them before, but I'm reposting the link just to be sure.
I'm using the MVMeter2, very nice.
Can I ask for help regarding a drum trigger sample AU plugin for Mac? This thing is driving me mad.
Thank you

Been using these for a while, mvMeter2 can be used to great effect for automatically setting target levels during gain staging. I'd pay for a version with group link option, similar to Hornet's VU Meter, which I find unpredictable at times.MetalSir wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 9:14 pm Hello everyone, I found a bunch of free tools: https://www.tbproaudio.de/download

ISOL8 for mix checking and GSatPlus for saturation and meters/monitoring.

Regarding MVMeter2 I need to study better how metering works because RMS in any scale is just clipping like MF. Need to study basics again. The Noodlist wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 10:20 amBeen using these for a while, mvMeter2 can be used to great effect for automatically setting target levels during gain staging. From the manual.
https://www.tbproaudio.de/assets/conten ... manual.pdf
Gain Match: matches the max. value with the reference value of corresponding meter mode
by adjusting the pre gain value automatically.
single needle mode: pre-gain is calculated based on the max. value
dual needle mode: pre-gain is calculated based on the highest max. value of both channels and
set to both pre-gain controls

What is your go-to free compressor plugin? I tried the LALA compressor, a free emulation of the LA-2A compressor/limiter.

Well, compressors are quite source dependent. So there surely isn’t the one size fits all compressor but the one mentioned in the post above yours (TDR Kotelnikov) and TDR Molotok are great free candidates as is really anything by TDR.
I quite like Softube‘s VCA Compressor on some sources which is currently available for free.
Also Klanghelm has two compressors that are free and striped down versions of very affordably priced plugins.
I haven’t played around with Analog Obsession‘s offerings enough to give a reasonable personal opinion but I see most of his plugins are highly praised.
That’s just some of the free compressors that come to my mind at the moment.

I don't have a "go-to" free comp, but if you're on a PC check out Bootsy's excellent freebies @ Variety Of Sound: https://varietyofsound.wordpress.com/downloads/
