on a serious note does any one have condensor mic set up tips - I dont think I'm on top of it quite yet .. runs into a focusrite penta chanel strip

It has a nice, thick "rock and roll" sound. Gotta be some compression in there.on a serious note does any one have condensor mic set up tips
Mics and mic techniques are my real passion, so I'd be glad to respond in detail, but I'd need to know what kind of sound you are looking for...

ok - I am ideally looking for warm, clear "close" sounding acoustic sound - I've only had a quick go but so far I think theres too much preamp noise and not enough overall signal strength for me ..
the set up is my new toy an ADK A51 which I've put into a Focusrite Penta then through a folio notepad (into the pc eventually obviously)
tbh - mic set up is very very new to me - any pointers would be most welcome

this is really tasty!
I seem to be posting I LOVE IT replies to everything today
but for a jam this is amazing.
I'd keep it rough and airy like it is; but with some some structuring its will kick ass.
