This song is about a surreal, science fiction scenario. Aika Zabala steals the show with her singing.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Lyrics:
Waking from a restless dream
The air is hot and still
This room is just like mine
Only the walls bend towards infinity
Walking down endless stairs
Each step is longer than last
Hours later at the front door
Stepping outside into the abyss
What I see I don’t understand
I don’t see no birds, no cars, no people
I know these streets but I don’t know where I am
I know these streets but I don’t know where I am
Is anybody here?
Can anybody hear me?
I don’t know what’s real
And I don’t like this feeling
When the nighttime comes
I hear electric hums
That I can’t get out of my head
When the daybreak comes
I can’t find anyone
Only empty streets instead
It feels like I stepped out of time
Trapped on an empty stage set
Walking past the same old houses
Hyperreal with no signs of life
Doesn't matter which way I go
Every road circles back on itself
This world is glitching
Everything in improbable positions
There is no future and no past
Just an ever-present, never-ending now
Just an ever-present, never-ending now
There’s got to be a way to bend
The bars of this cage
There’s got to be a way to escape
This abandoned stage
When the nighttime comes
I hear electric hums
That I can’t get out of my head
When the daybreak comes
I can’t find anyone
Only empty streets instead
What kind of world
What kind of world is this?
Where straight lines
They don't exist
What kind of world
What kind of world is this?
Where straight lines
They don't exist
What kind of world? (repeat x4)
When the nighttime comes
I hear electric hums
That I can’t get out of my head
When the daybreak comes
I can’t find anyone
Only empty streets instead
Any feedback is appreciated.

May I be the first saying something about your latest work?
Here we go:
What immediately caught my ear: the driving bass run, which is
followed by the vocals. The deep vocals and sharp snare groove
incredibly in Verse1! The line "Is anybody here" reminds me of Pink
Floyd's "comfortably numb".
I like the driving beat and the different vocal lines. The arrangement
is also very nicely polished. So there are parts where the singing
stands almost alone. The dystopian-sounding science fiction lyrics
go well with the vocals. All in all nice and dark, with slightly
disturbingly surging lyrics, excellently arranged and sticking in your
head! I would compare the style to that of the post-punk band
"TheThe" with Matt Johnson.
Yes Frantz, after we haven't heard much from you for a while, you
surprise us with a fantastic and rousing pop song. Especially the
work on the vocal parts is excellent and captivates!
What can I say more?

Really nice electro pop song. I like that it is more synth-based than usual. (At least i think that's it. You didn't post much in the last time, and i can't exactly remember... but at least i think i hear a difference )
The female singer is really good and it is a good addition to the track.
Overall a well made track !

I like this. As I said "over there"
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

Thanks enroe! I appreciate your detailed feedback. I am glad you enjoyed the arrangement of the vocals, lyrics, and bass lines.enroe wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 7:34 am What immediately caught my ear: the driving bass run, which is

(I don't listen to Pink Floyd or The The very often so neither of those comparisons occurred to me.)

I made a glitchy 30 second short video which I think fits the mood of the song.

Great track Frantz. Has a lovely vibe with the music and the vocals sound like Gabriel and Bush when combined.
Well done!

Loved it. The start was nice and dark, with some good sound choices (kick drum was great etc.)
Distortion on vocals was just right. Aika's vocals provide a perfect compliment to yours.
You seem to be getting better as times goes on!
Well done, sir!

I'm glad you enjoyed the song and I agree the female singer Aika is terrific.tomtom1 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 2:27 pm Really nice electro pop song. I like that it is more synth-based than usual. Overall a well made track !
My music has always been heavily synth-based except previously I used BFD3 for acoustic drums. Now that BFD3 is in a dodgy state, even the drums are entirely electronic.
Thanks for your comments.

Vocal sounds somewhat like Leonard Cohen, the music sounds like him, mid-80's.
As usual, very well done.

Very beautiful video. Very expressive. I also think it's particularly good that you
act there yourself - and underline exactly these lines of text. Well done!
