GenieSoft has released Patch 20 for the Windows versions of Overture v4.1.0 and Score Writer v4.1.0.
Changes and Improvements in Patch 20:
- Fixed some jumping around while editing on large scores that were zoomed in.
- Fixed a hang bug when exporting a MIDI file and the last bar had a repeat in it.
- Also fix a serious bug that has been in Overture 4 code for years that eventually caused crashes if you dragged certain items around many times. This bug would also cause a disconnect from the Audio Engine.
- The default folder when extracting parts is the folder containing the main score.
- Changed the Selection Filter to select items only in the selected range. If there is no selection range the items are selected throughout the entire score.
- When Wrap System is off staves dragged below the page will get a warning. The Page Size will not change under any circumstances unless the user does so in Page Dimensions Dialog.
- Improved spacing of Lyrics when using the Justify routine and improved spacing on notes with melismas.
- Fixed bug that packed wrong legato data into a slur, when multiple slurs are created simultaneously on tracks that used different legato data.
- You can now flip beams vertically by selecting them and choosing the Flip menu command.
- You can now nudge notes even with Auto>Justify turned on but if you insert or delete notes in the measure they will be aligned if Auto>Justify is on.
- Added VST device xml files for the Aria player.
