As our new Black Box Tester you will join a development project from the early beginning and support the team with your perspective. Your daily tasks vary from analysis, development and execution of different tests to exploring and learning products in an efficient and self-organized manner. You are proactive, you are a doer, you take responsibility, you think ahead and you know the value of good testing. Being part of a team feels natural to you and you work together to address all issues. You're not afraid of experimenting and you're not afraid of making mistakes because you know you will learn from them.
Your Tasks:
- Actively use the software or hardware, testing for performance, reliability, bugs or other failures as defined by the team.
- Plan and present the scope of the testing effort by analyzing documentation, code and bugs.
- Keep track of changes to the project and communicate this to team members.
- Communicate progress and risk to team and other departments.
- Question assumptions.
Your Profile:
- Creative and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Successfully completed degree in IT, informatics, audio engineering, software engineering, philosophy or similar.
- At least 2 years' experience in Software Testing with a strong customer focus.
- Experience of Exploratory Testing.
- Experience of using NI products like Maschine, Kontakt or Reaktor.
- Knowledge of different scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python, Lua) is a plus.
- BBST Foundations is a plus.
- ISTQB Certification could be a plus.
