Soundiron has released Apocalypse Percussion Ensemble, a new sample library for Kontakt.
The Apocalypse Percussion Ensemble offers a wide array of scoring and trailer percussion, with both ensemble and solo articulations. Recorded with "epic" orchestration in mind, it was recorded in a natural hall, with up to 3 mic positions per articulation and up to 12 round-robins per velocity. It features ensemble and solo snares, bass drums, toms, doumbeks, dhols, riqs, frame drums, bongos, cajons, cymbals and more.
The Mega Mixer interface allows custom mapping, drum combos and blends, with adjustable key ranges and per-instrument volume, pan, tuning and more. This allows efficient resource use with maximum control. There are presets for mic position mixing, as well as divisi presets to focus on specific instruments and expanded articulation types. Presets include hi-memory, disk-streaming and low-memory versions for maximum flexibility.
Custom convolution/reverb, EQ and filter controls are included in every instrument, as well as note attack, release, tuning and offset knobs. This allowing full control over tone, proximity, room and presence. The Uberpeggiator adds complex and adaptive arpeggiation with a range of unique parameters. There's also a bonus set of 30 soundscapes, pads and ambient drones designed to compliment the drums.
